I am looking for the frame numbers on this motorcycle....Does anyone know where to find them and also how to determine the original color of the bike

Try removing the badge off of the chrome side panel off the gas tank. then remove the chrome panel itself. often times, if it's been repainted, the painter just masked the chrome leaving the original color underneath. also may be able to see some of the original color under the chrome head light rim, at least, on my cb77 i saw the original color under the ring.
i'm not sure where the frame number on the ca is. on the cb its under the front of the gas tank, by where the forks meet the frame. I think i heard that its on the center bar that drops down after you remove that sloping cover. but i would certainly go with someone elses ideas on that over my own.
