European headlight holder CA77

I bought a European style headlight so I could change the bulb. Got a bulb and the socket, but am missing the spring clip that holds the socket in. Old part number C724811.18 and New part number 33154-259-000.

Anybody got one?

May be tough to locate in the US as ya have a European part
which our parts book won't show.
Ya have a pic of that area Jensen?.. ............lm

Search APF in the electrical thread for a picture of socket and bulb, that the kind?.
Same as mine that has 2 "C" shaped spring clips, but I don't have any extras.

Hi

I have two types here, with different bulb holders. One fits in a small slot in the shallower of the two units and is retained by a long tension spring. The other larger holder is a bayonet mount and works a large compression spring. Mine is currently rusted up but I think I have a holder for the shallower type somewhere - pretty similar to the unit on my 400F.

Will try and find the other parts tomorrow when it's daylight.

Hi,

I knew I had one lying around, complete and 100 % original (it has the original bulbs too)
Pic's here LM, look for yourself, one long spring (small diameter), and one small spring to secure the electrical contact between bulb and wire plate.

First, thanks to all for your help. I believe I have what is shown in my parts diagram (1964 - pre NPS). I have tried to download a PDF, but can't get it to work for some reason. After all of your posts I wasn't sure and am still not 100% certain what I have. My best guess is this is an early style headlight unit for American models as the parts book lists this for CA72 and CA77 and the '64 parts book lists the old style part number per my first post.

Sorry everyone. I used the term European style probably incorrectly. I had read other posts months ago indicating European units all had a bulb that can be changed. That is what I meant and thought providing part numbers would help avoid confusion. It is not a sealed beam and uses the APF bulb. That said, it is not obvious to me how the spring pictured in the diagram would work. roadcapDen says I need two C clips. Uhhhh. I don't know what they would look like as they are not pictured in my parts diagram.
