1967 Dream Restoration

Post by two4one » Fri Oct 19, 2012 2:40 pm

Hi everyone. I've been lurking for a while waiting for the time when I can start the resto on my 67. I picked up the '67 a couple months ago. I love the lines of this bike! Old school at it's best.

Anyway, I could ramble on and on about my project but I'll simply share what I have now, and what my vision is. I'm going to work on this as I can in between my paying customers :)

So here is what I have.

And this is where I'm going (photoshopped an image I found)

So whataya' think? A bit different no?

Looking forward to spending some time on the board. Thanks!

Looks good. I like what you plan and it looks like you have all the important pieces to start. If I was going to do what you plan, I would start looking for some original mufflers. You may not find them but if you did you would have one complete and beautiful bike. Cliff

Thanks Cliff. I'm really not concerned about the pipes since I'm not doing a 100% original resto. I'll work with these until I change my mind :)

Looks great to me! I really like the different paint schemes on these bikes. Best of luck on the restoration.

Looks like a good start.
Me I prefer the all white like mine. But its your bike enjoy the time you spend wit it. Good luck on the exhaust I see new ones on ebay last week $1600.
My exhaust are getting in bad shape so I will be looking at after market exhaust myself LOL
