I'M GOING TO START POSTING SOME PICTURES OF THIS RESTORATION.
BOUGHT THIS BIKE IN A TRUCK LOAD DEAL WITH PARTS FOR A 1971 CL350, CB400, SOME TRIUMPH PARTS AND MISC PARTS. TRYING TO SORT IT OUT WAS NO FUN.
JOHN HAD BOUGHT THIS BIKE FROM AN ATV/SALVAGE/BIKE SHOP IN MISSOURI AND NEVER GOT THE TITLE TRANSFERED INTO HIS NAME. AFTER A CLOSE LOOK AT THE TITLE, I FOUND THAT THE OWNER OF THE BIKE SHOP NEVER SIGNED ON THE TITLE TRANSFER LINE. SO I CALLED HIM, EXPLAINED THE SITUATION TO HIM AND HE AGREED TO SIGN IT AND MAIL IT BACK TO ME. SO I MAILED HIM THE TITLE WITH GREAT HOPES OF GETTING IT BACK.
I SOLD MOST OF THE OTHER PARTS TO PAY FOR THE TRUCK LOAD.
LAIDED OUT THE SCRAMBLER PARTS ON THE CONCRETE, TOOK SOME PICTURES OF IT AND TRIED TO SELL IT ON C.L. FOR 800 BUCKS. NO BODY WANTED IT. THEY JUST COULD NOT SEE THEMSELVES PUTTING THE ENGINE BACK TOGETHER.
AFTER 6 MONTHS AND THREE PHONE CALLS TO THE ATV/SALVAGE/BIKE SHOP, I GOT THE TITLE BACK SIGNED. I TOOK IT TO THE DMW AND GOT IT TRANSFERED INTO MY NAME. NOW IT WAS TIME TO BUILD IT.
