I got a bit of a surprise this week. The chrome work that Prestige told me was going to be 4-5 months (they are busy people) was ready in 2 months. It's just fabulous unwrapping parts that were once a nasty mess of peeling chrome and rust then finding them all smooth, clean and shiny.

There weren't many parts from the '61 project but the all-important kick-starter and spindles were there (Thanks Alan W).

The '61 bike had a slimmer kickstart than the later bikes so I hope this is the right one. Both front and rear spindles are drilled for lightness and are unique to the early bikes. The rear spindle is drilled right through from tommy-bar end through to the cotter-pin holes at the far end. The front one is partially drilled. Both are outwardly identical to later models but it is nce to have authentic ones.

Hoping for some workshop time this weekend.

Sorry - a bit misleading. That's a pair for my CB160 and a set that came in a box with some CB175 parts. Both OEM, I think. The CB160 ones have the L&R markings on them. It seemed a shame not to have them plated as both sets were really nice. I'm hoping (a long way into the future) to build a CB160 special with a CB175 top end.

Looks great G. The downpipes at the top of the image look like the early constant radius pieces, and I consider them to be the best looking style. If the pattern parts could match those, it would be a plus. Could you please provide the axle drilling diameters for future reference? Regards, Chase
