Steve, are you going to Corvallis tomorrow? I'm throwing together an incomplete basketcase CB77 to take and hopefully sell.

Just saw your post under events, see you there!

Hi Dick
Well I will see you there then. I really look forward to Corvallis. I don't have a bike ready but I am planning on taking my two concurrent projects next year. I've got to remember to throw a copy of the OVM in the rig for free admission. My sister and her husband are bringing a 57 HD Sportster they've been working on for years. I found out why HD riders never wave .... It takes both hands to keep them on the road.

Oh God now you've done it...........................95% of all Harley Davidson's ever made are still on the road............................................the other 5% made it home.

Vintage Motorcycle Swapmeet in Corvallis

Post by Steverino » Sun May 17, 2015 11:03 pm

I think I bought the side covers off sixtiescycles bike. There were a couple of guys picking a CB77 apart and neither one of them was Dick. I figure he must of sold it to these guys before I arrived. One fellow said he wanted the motor and everything else was for sale. I bought the covers for 40 dollars. I only needed the right side but they were so cheap I bought both. Anybody need a left side cover? Was this your bike Dick?

Yes that "was" my bike! Sad part is I spent a day putting it together, digging out correct bits etc only to have it torn apart at the meet. I got there about 8:45am and the bike was sold by 9:15am for $300. I didn't see you, I was at Pete's booth off and on and had my truck parked right next to him. Lot's of people bought parts off the Superhawk they needed so it was good for everyone. Glad you got something you needed.

Dick
I asked the guy if it was your bike and he didn't want to talk about it. Maybe he wasn't all that proud of himself.
I finished installing my center stand and swing arm today. I put the rear wheel assembly in place to see how it looks.
