the remaining 3 circlips are oriented in all different positions. one the gap is up, one the gap is right, one is left... NOt GOOD.. supposed to be down ? right???
there appear to be TWO different sets of rings.
on the RT side, the blown side, only one ring has a marking.. the second ring ...it has a tiny "N" and a TINY step on the bottom of the ring..
the left side, no rings have markings but the middle ring has a much different profile than the one on the right.. a much bigger step in the bottom side...and it was stuck from varnish/gookum.
heres some pics of the piston the clip came out of...it does have a circlip escape pathnow that i soda blasted off the varnish!! , I can barely catch my fingernail on it!!

i soda blasted this one . grooves all cleaned up. I don't think it did too much damage??

Clips only need to "NOT HAVE THE OPEN AT THE DIMPLE". ..............lm

I didn't realize that sleeves fell out when heated. I "thought" that they had to be pressed in.

I just heat the barrel up with it inverted on blocks. The liners just drop out. Reverse is also true. Just heat up and they drop in. The machine shop I use recommends that you push them down with a press after the barrel has cooled.
