Thanks Michael. About the worst thing that can happen to me is have some kind of metal left over from a job. I always find some kind of use for it.

When it comes to the Dream I'm not concerned if it's all original. I just want to have a little space to add to it where I can and if It can give someone an idea or two that's all a bonus. I just installed three more pieces of stainless to the Dream. I put one accent by the ignition and the other two are down by the passengers foot peg. Kind of adds some detail to the swing arm.

It would be the ultimate bonus knowing I've inspired someone to do there own restoration. After all that's what the sites about in my opinion, Sharing ideas and information. Here's a few more pics to bore everyone with. Paul

Well I've been considering an alarm system for the Dream just in case I ever use it (which I probably won't).
I put a full fledged one on the Wing but I think I'll just go with a warning decal for the Dream. Paul

Just when it looked as if everything has been done and said about your wonderful work, I have a question. How in the world did you mount those fishtail mufflers? I have a set and thought I could get them on the bike - WRONG! I tried fashioning a couple of curved 12ga SST mounting brackets to fit up to the original frame and engine mounting holes but I ran out of steam, and ideas, as I tried to fit things up. Are yours mounted for show or go? What did you use as a gasket since the muffler inlets are too large for the exhaust pipes? I just love the way the fishtail pipes look and would really love to hear how they sound!

Gee Bon now your asking me to give up my trade secrets. Just kidding. I'm actually away from my normal area right now but Saturday I'll get you detailed pictures of how I did it. There on there for show and go. As for the sound, well I can't tell you yet because I haven't started the old gal since I put them on and she's out with the collection and there's no way I want to start her there. I figure in a few more weeks all our snow will be gone and I'll take her out of there and get her going and do a video and post it on here for everyone to see and hear.

Here you go Bon. You should get a few ideas from my pictures. To get the mufflers to fit the header pipe I used muffler adapters. You should be able to get them from any muffler shop, automotive parts places such as NAPA or from J.C. Whitney. I attached the link below for the adapters there.

After installing the adapters (You'll need two sets) I made the fittings out of threaded rod joiners. I cut them to get the right length and then used aluminum flat bar for the brackets and bolted them to the engine in the forward location that the original exhaust was mounted too. I think once you see the pictures below you'll see how I did it. They are very strong now and I'm happy with the install but when I can get the bike out to my main shop I'll be machining two new adapters out of brass to adapt the header pipe to the muffler. That way It will look extra tidy, The adapters work well but not that appealing to the eye if you get right up to it and look. Hope this helps you out. Paul

Well It was a long time waiting but I finally received the rear rack and four shock nuts back from the chromers today and they did a great job. It took months to get it done but I'm happy now. I attached the very last two pictures of the Dream project and I would like to thank everyone who have commented and helped me in any way with the project. Now that this one is done I can get back at my Cub project. Cheers everyone and ride safe. Paul
