Looking good. Are you going to take everything back off to do the frame or are you just restoring the surrounding parts?

the frame might be too big to fit in the blasting cabinet. i'd call it a thorough cleaning, i just wanted to get the bike safely back on the road without that green paint.

the bushings on the swingarm looked okay, washed off the dirt/grease and reinstalled.

rear fender

Post by mobilyte » Mon Jul 12, 2010 5:53 pm

took the rear fender down to bare metal and repaired some large dents. primed the fender, masked the outside, applied a rubberized undercoat (aerosol can) on the inside, finished with paint.

blasted the taillight bracket, straightened the license plate mounting areas, primed/painted. had to replace the old rubber wire grommet with a new one from ohio cycle.
