Cool! Thanks!

Congratulations.
Still love the color. I feel my 1965 CL77 will look very similar to yours.....some day.
Thanks George. It will, it will.

Christmas in May.

Today I received:

mud flap (thanks Joe P.)
chain guard (thanks Bill S.)
front sprocket (thanks Kevin H.)

Waiting on seat from Thailand. Badges due in too.

Fixed my nacelle light switch issue. The thing looked newish but had old hard grease shorting out the contacts. A rebuild and it works fine. I now have headlights.

Right carbie leaking fuel (slow drip) ... (it's not the petcock). Looking at bowl gasket to see if it hangs up float. Still running a bit rich ... cold starts without choke on a 60 degree day. Then it pops here and there.

I just discovered there are NO baffles in the pipes. Although it sounds gnarly, it's a bit loud for my neighborhood, and I'm concerned about proper back pressure and not running right. No options at the moment unless the wife has some old pantyhose I can stuff in the mufflers ;) Funny there are no obvious holes where baffle screws may have been.

Struggling like hell to get it registered in time for the VJMC breakfast and ride this Saturday. If not it's a trailer event (bah!!)

Yesterday trailered to PD to get a VIN verification. The officer, although appreciative saw the original registration I provided (my mistake) which had 1969 as the year. I showed him the harness (1966), and the Silver book with prod. numbers ("see ... it wasn't made in 1969"). He still made a note, but after an hour of going over it with a fine tooth comb, he let it pass. (All the other PD's would go by and smile or comment with thumbs up ... even the chief).

2 hours at DMV and I went home with a nice new CA license plate ... YAY! Even though. the gal took photo copies of the Bill Silver prod. chart along with printouts from this forum :)

Now to install chain and fix rt. carb leak. Still no seat. I may have to ride it with an old cushion ;)

btw ... I know this sounds blasphemous, but I installed the mud flap, and I'm sorry but it looks kinda dorky to me ... (ducks). But w/e ... I'll leave it on for now.

Don't worry about the mud flap.
I've got one of these on order:
