Hm, rear wheel was still on, needed cleaning so I tackled that today. So good progress there, still have to tackle that hub though sitting next to the wheel. Got the tank back from radiator guy, all cleaned up and coated on the inside too. Turned on the 50's & 60's tune in the garage, and soon it was 5 pm, time to call it a day. A good day tinkering!

Used a lot of elbow grease, toothbrushes, and cotton swabs for the cleaning. Things are progressing.

On my 66CL, is the chain guard red or silver? It was silver when I bought the bike last year? Thanks.

Been a while since last posting, but my '66 Scrambler is now done. All I have left is to find a matching LH mirror, not sure if the RH 3" round one is stock or not, but need a match to it. Thanks to all Forum members for tips & tricks, it sure helped a lot. I think my rattle-can painted tank turned out good, same with the covers, and chain guard, although I did paint the guard silver vs the stock red.

Found the new seat skin at Classic Honda Restoration out East, and had it installed by a local exotic/foreign car restorer! Looks great IMO.

Anyway, all the lights work and she starts on the 1st or 2nd kick.........and sounds terrific. Now to put on some miles before our nasty Winters in Wisconsin. Now to see if I remember how to post pics, hah!

What an awesome looking bike. Post a few pics of it against the changing fall scenery! ;-)
