i was wondering what you're plan is for the rims .... unsure what to do with mine, they're worse than yours. i figure on replacing for now, but would like to restore the originals at some point.

Be sure to remember that the pail light bracket and center stand are painted BLACK. ..................lm

mcinturff wrote:I started this one about six months ago. The frame has been sugar blasted and the rest will be next week. Most of the body will be powder coated in a bright red. I believe the bike is a '62 CA78. The bike only has 4K miles on it. The brakes are still brand new! However you can peel the chrome off the rims with your bare fingers. Hoping to have it done by March. Anybody in Houston give me a shout.

I'll keep that in mind...though I've seen 'em with red tail-light brackets that looked pretty good, but this might be a more orginal minded restore.

The mystery pic is the inside of the gas tank. The fuel (there was even some left in the petcock) was approx. 10 years old; mixed with rust; one whiff of that will get your attention.

I'm thinking about silver (chrome look) ceramic coating the rims if I can't find a chromer that owes me a favor...
