hey all, just wanted to post some in process pics of my project and give a few shout outs to everyone who has helped me along the way. first of all, thanks to hoosier tom for the awesome play by play of assembling the bottom end and X'ing the gears! great tutorial and much appreciated, thanx to lm for the fast replies to some questions i've posted and to everyone else's great input. most importantly thanks to Byrdman76 for the inspiration of the overall design of my bike. just to put it out there, this is just a fun project for me and in no way is it a professional restore, i'm a 21 year old art school senior and this bike has let me procrastinate through my terrible classes.:) right then, enough talk, i have some pics to share

so i've made a mount for my closed cell battery/rectifier and selenoid. i bought a new rectifier made by a guy in portland oregon, supposedly they're very well made and do the job, but the wiring instructions weren't very good. SO, two main issues now, how can i tell that i wired the rectifier correctly ? and my selenoid is totally dead, had it tested by a friend because i had suspicions to begin with.
the rectifier has a GROUND, TWO YELLOW, and ONE RED connections, the original rectifier has GROUND, BROWN and YELLOW. so im lost as to which yellow port the brown wire should go on the new one. ...2nd issue, the selenoid is bunk so i went and sought out a new 12v selenoid from nappa auto parts, its self grounding so that makes me question how to rig it up to the harness right off the bat.

Hill, I see the solenoid in your photo. The copper contacts may need cleaned/filed on the inside. If you can't or don't want to take it apart send it to me and I'll take a look at it. Send me a pm.
