CL72 Project

Post by malcolmgb » Sun Jun 09, 2013 3:34 pm

I recently bought this, it looks like it may turn into a retirement project, just over 18 months to my 65th Birthday.

Malcolm

I can probably help with most of those. I'll look through my pile of parts over the next few days.

Nice looking tank on that project!

What about the mudguards / fenders? They should be alloy on early CL72s.

Yes have alloy guards, I forgot to put them in picture.
The front is very dented I am hoping it can be straightened by a good sheet metal worker, the rear is good but will need some welding around the license plate fixing area. The front guard bracket needs some welding and straightening too, then re-chrome.

Yes & very poor too I think. How rare are fuel tank knee pads? I have seen replicas but very expensive, I am not planning a concors rebuild just a very tidy daily rider so old parts will be used.
