I have many photos taken at various times and at different angles. Can you tell me what you're looking for in particular, then I can try to find a photo of it.

Your pic showes a bike that is verry nice but IS IT THE WAY YOU GOT IT or after you painted it?
The US issue CB77 Super Hawk came with the LP bracket the same color as the fender.
I've had many of the CB77 bikes which I had with that color match and NEVER one with a BLACK LP.
Saying that I mean from HONDA not a bike someone REPAINTED and painted BLACK.
I "QUOTE"!
Never seen a CB77 with a Blue frame color or a CB77 with a RED frame color with a BLACK/ BLUE/RED LP bracket and you could actually tell HONDA painted it BLACK and installed it rather than the SILVER color!
I've been working/riding/fixing these bikes for many a year (1963) and have yet to get my hands on a CB77/72 that DID NOT HAVE A FADED SILVER LP bracket.
Don't confuse the LP bracket of the Scrambler as it was color of the frame.
What I have seen is many bikes are "RESTORED"? and that part was painted BLACK.
BARBER MUSEUM is a good example of that!. .................lm

This is the way you had it before you took it apart?. .................lm

LM, I see you’ve edited your post to tell me what you’ve found that’s wrong - the license plate bracket is black, but should be the color of the fender. Thanks for that information.

The bike is as I bought it. I have not restored it or disassembled it beyond removing the seat and tank for access to undertake repairs. I’ve also had the wheels off to install new tires. In the beginning of this thread I mentioned that the bike was not a candidate for immediate restoration, but rather a daily rider that I would repair and improve as needed. Perhaps you are confusing this thread with my CA77 restoration thread in which I did, indeed, completely dismantle and repaint a 1964 Dream. In any case, your helpful comments and suggestions are always welcome. The LP bracket is in fairly good repair with only a bit of rust from the license plate fasteners and appears not to have been repainted. Perhaps some PO has replaced it at some point in the bike’s life.

Seadog

That really is a lovely-looking machine. Who's muffler have you got on there?

This is a 1965 Honda brochure picture of a UK (European?) CB72. Blue frame, black license plate bracket. The blue frame color has not reproduced properly but it is blue...

UK license plates are much sturdier than the US ones, but my 1961 bike had (has) a smaller US-style silver one. I wonder who made the decisions at Honda?

Thank you, G, for the compliment and the info. The bike definitely looks better in photos than it does in person. To answer your question, the right side muffler in the photos is from Gearset. I had a 4 page thread here on the forum about those. They're beautiful, but I was never able to correctly mount the left side. They're collecting dust in my garage.

Thanks, too, for the brochure. Here's one from the American Honda Motor Company dated 1967.
