66 CL77. starts and runs but had pods and questionable jetting. I've already installed aftermarket filters, re-installed the original air tubes, run the valves and believe it or not, the timing is spot-on , from idle to revved up.
The bike was last on "the road" in 2010 and the points and points plate look new. someone knew what they were doing at least on the timing but I HATE PODS.
I stripped and dipped the carbs then put in the other main jets that said 130, and the pilots say 38.
Cleaned tank and pecock and all is great.. BUT
it bogs pretty bad 1/2 throttle.... I havent been able to do a plug chop it's snowing here and riding it is precarious hahahaha, plus I'm no darn good at jetting anyway.
I'll be soaking up all the info I can find and wonder where the best place to buy jets if I need to change something.

Nice diamond! but not to rough ;^) OH... and your badge on the tank is backwards. That one is the right side badge. Unless you have two right side badges... Is your RIGHT one backwards as well? If so, then you can just swap sides. Have FUN!

It looks like that one is the METAL replacement type. They were sold by Honda and are not repops, just "replacements". The plastic ones broke or cracked and then Honda sold these. I remember back around 1974 I went to the Honda dealer to get new badges for my 1965 Honda CB160. I was looking for the plastic ones, but they only had ONE side. So... instead they sold me two metal replacement ones. These just say HONDA on them. My original plastic badges had CB160. The plastic ones for the 305 have 300 on them, at least for my Dream they say 300.

Yes these are metal. In very good shape. I took them off to reverse them, but placed them in toolbox pending a decision to repaint or just leave as is and ride!!

Try 135 main and 42 slow?
I think most people on this board rebuild with these jets, they work fine on mine (also '66 305).
