64 CB77 pulled today after 25 yrsThanks again gents. I'm crossing my fingers too.
64 CB77 pulled today after 25 yrsToday I tried to clean the inside of the fuel tank using electrolysis following the instructions on this site and had some success but there is still a layer of rust/varnish inside the tank. There seem to be a lot of products to remove the rust/varnish. Have any of you had success with these products?
1. Evaporust 2. Muriatic Acid 3. Lacquer Thinner 4. POR-15 cleaner and degreaser only (I don't want to exopxy the inside of the tank) Re: 64 CB77 pulled today after 25 yrsAfter trying the POR cleaner, I ended up using "toilet bowl cleaner" which, effectively muriatic acid. Worked a treat.
