Well I finally got my 305 Dream last year. I've been slowly purchasing parts and trying to get it running. I built a new wire harness, cleaned carb, new points, new condenser, new aftermarket coil, new plugs, new bulb in old headlight, and gone through timing and tune up. I think I need to go back through the carb because the plugs are staying dry, and I'm not getting gas out of the float drain. Tried starting it with some starting fluid in the plug holes, and got a little sputter, which made me quite happy. Compression sounds good, and it kicks over fine.
Anyway, I'm hoping to get it running soon. I had two CA160s a couple of years ago that I rode to work in Kalamazoo for a while. I've always wanted a 305, and I'm getting close to finally being able to ride it. I wanted to post and thank everyone for contributing to this forum. I don't think I would still be into these old bikes if it wasn't for the great community and contribution here. If anyone lives near Kalamazoo, I may need some help at some point, if I can't figure it out on my own.
