Rob's 1966 CB160

Here's a few pics of the CB160 I picked up last fall. Spent the last week going thru the bike and making her look fresh. Paint is all original and there are 5K miles on the odo.
Bike belonged to a co-worker. His dad bought it from a kid when it was a year or so old and all the boys in the family learned how to ride on it. Then, in the early 70's, he drained the tank, misted it with oil, put new oil in the engine and put it in his dry basement where it sat until last year. He called me one day and asked if I'd like to buy the bike.
Side covers were missing and I've since found a set that I've primed and need to finish paint. I have two original mufflers I've rechromed and a set of original headers that are excellent to install with the rechromed mufflers.
Every piece on the bike, nut bolts, bulbs, etc. are original. Only other missing piece was the rear mudflap. But I got lucky and scored one off a roached bike last week.
Need to rebuild the petcock with new seal, put a battery in her and will try to fire her up. Hopefully, she won't need much to get running. Keeping my fingers crossed that the e-start works.
Here are a few shots I took yesterday.
I love finding bikes that were stored indoors. Almost all the small rubber bits like carb cable boots are original and in excellent shape. Even the original tires were not checked or rotted. They will clean up nicely and would be valuable to a museum quality restoration.
