David Silver has pretty sensible prices on things. If his listing says 'genuine Honda' that's what it will be. I would buy a pair at that price.......

Muffler Packing
I just ordered a set, just in case. At $72 I would wait, but for $12....why not! I could resell it at double the price and still be cheaper than the one on ebay. The ebay guy has on his listing that the old Honda part was C723963 which was replaced with 18391-259-000. This larger gray style is used on the early 1960-62 Dreams and CB72-77 mufflers that had a sharp cut inlet, instead of the o-ring style seal. So now I'll have both kinds and be able to un goop it and replace it right away. I'm supposed to talk with Tim (Classic Honda Restoration) this afternoon (he's going to walk me through stripping and resealing the gas tank). I'm going to ask him why he doesn't think the gray gasket would fit my bike.
