Mufflers from Classic Honda Restoration?

Post by Steverino » Sun Feb 22, 2015 3:36 am

Has anyone forked out the big money for a set of muffs from Classic Honda Restoration? My original set is very solid but I don't know if I can get them rechromed anywhere.

Steve

I bought some a while ago. They were OK apart from ugly welds and the odd ding where it shouldn't be. David Silver is working on replicas at the moment. Should be available soon. About $500 a set, I am told.

Thank you for the information G Man. I remember reading about your set on your restoration thread. (I think.) I didn't remember they were from this supplier. I will go back and take another read.
Thanks Again
Steve

Steve

They were for a different project. The 1961 CB72 ones came from Overlander in Australia and are stainless. Better in my opinion and cheaper.....

I've bought three of the Overlander sets, and they are very nice. One mention, is the baffles are integral to the mufflers, and not removable (at least on the ones I received). Regards, Chase

Thank You cknight for the information. The price overlander gave me is less than DSS and overlanders are stainless. Hard to beat that.

Steve, I don't know if these guys are still in business: http://www.hotrodhotline.com/pr/2009/09starbrightfeb/ They were doing CL pipes. Not far from you in Oregon City.
