Cam Chain Position.
Cam Chain Position.
Hi all. I just ordered the service CD Rom from the site but I was wondering if any of you could get me going sooner.

I just finished rebuilding my engine (pistons, valves, gaskets) but it won't start. I'm thinking that I could have the timing chain in wrong. I took a photo of its position on the cam sprocket before disassembly and kept the chain taut against the bottom end to keep it from slipping but now I think it may have. Something's wrong. Where should the marks on the flywheel be aligned to in accordance to the hashmark on the camshaft? Need to know before I disassemble engine again. Thanks! Tim.

Timmy, I can suggest this; go to the e-mail list and ask there. Emo or John Dugan (others too) seem to really know their stuff about the internals. Good luck! Steve Greer
