What would you do?
Look What Brown Brought Today
Went with the Wiseco pistons. They came today via UPS and are so damn pretty I just had to post a couple of shots. Off to the machine shop in the AM. One wall has some scaring after clean up, but since I am going 50 over I am hoping for the best.

Nice pics! I can feel the need to wear my anorak here..... I just love anything that's well-made -- makes me want to caress it!britman wrote:Went with the Wiseco pistons. I bought a pair of Art 0.75-over pistons and ring sets; they look quite nicely finished too. I do hope all this money I've 'invested' is going to lead to a mill that runs and shifts as smooth as a Singer!
Not at all. I have purchased several items from Tim's site. Always ships fast and never been disappointed. I think the whole set is reasonably priced and truly impressed with the quality. After visiting the machinist the mad money fund took a good hit though.3BeanCrispy wrote:mind if i ask where ya got them and for how much ? im usually pretty good at tracking things down, but have looked multiple times for wiseco pistons for my s90 and the 305 and havent found anything.

Home Made Ring Compressor
I got the pistons in today. The Wiseco's have a three part oil ring which is a true pain in the butt when loading the cylinders. The two top rings are a breeze, but to keep placement on the oil ring set up is not fun. With the help of my Son-In-Law and my homemade ring compressors we finally got them in, hopefully with the rings spaced correctly. The Pepsi can bands worked great as long as you kept finger pressure around the entire piston when lowering the cylinder.
