Hi,
I am having to replace the cam shafts in my 1965 Honda CB77. A previous rebuilder had 're-profiled' the cams and now they are way below the specification lift!
The only available cams I can find are the later shallow spline pt nos. 14121-268-060 left and 14111-268-030 right. Has anyone successfully fitted these cams to the older deeper cam sprocket splines? I guess that the camshaft lock nut and camshaft tapered bolt will pull it up tight?
Thanks for any help you can give.

G-Man, Thanks very much for your reply and good advice. I have a weeks holiday in two weeks time so will start to carefully re-build the engine and re- install in the bike. I am hoping to get it running again before the summer ends.
I originally removed the engine to replace the points shaft as I discovered that a previous owner's rebuild had installed what looks like a CA points shaft. The points were swapped left with right to make run!
