Gotta love it....good write up and a sense of humor too!

Will add that an air gun with impact chuck fitted works great in place of just an impact hammer....just go light on the trigger.

I've worked with pneumatic and hand impact drivers. They're both great tools but they do different things. The hand driver uniquely provides torque as the bit is driven into the head. The longitudinal impact from the hammer sends a sound wave down the screw which helps break up any corrosion present. In my experience it is less likely than the pneumatic (or electric) version to cam out because of this.
