When the engine is on it's top at the right side middle there was/is a aluminum washer.
Is it stuck on the stud?. ...........lm

I didn't remove the dynamo rotor, but everything else is off.
Any thoughts before I get out the chain saw?

Thanks teaser & LM ... I just needed a bigger hammer and some more elbow persuasion. Told it who's boss, and it gave in to my will.
Voila: broken tooth (pic#3). I think Fast Fred might have a spare top gear. If not, I'll solicit here later.
Also, note the munged up studs (pic #2). Gotta remove them. YAY! I get to go buy another tool (stud remover) ;)
3rd picture is the issue of the missing oil-filter-rotor-washer (15493-259-000). If anyone has a spare one of these, I'll buy it. You can see the ring of "burn" from overheating. And yes, I rechecked the Parts Manual (pp 68-69), and it shows this as needing to be in place.
