I got the machining [tooling] marks out with wet/dry 320, 400, 600, then a small cotton wheel on my Dremel and Simichrome; the intake/exhaust ports I used a 1/4" die grinder with 120 grit rolls, then by hand I used 120, 180, 220, red Scotchbrite, then gray Scotchbrite and solvent
