Incorret installation of the vent holes in the gaskets/plate probably would not have had no blowby and then gotten worse. Would they?
It could also be your head or cylinders not being true, but that seems less likely to me since you had no blowby when first re-assembled. Yet, some combination of the torque/head problems might be the best explanation.
Anyone disagree?
