Some bonehead had put them facing down. Thankfully no damage.

6mm bolts and lock washers.

Some do have screws and every one I've found with screws they were loose. ...................lm

I have an innate hatred of anything with a Philips head. I always toss them.

Of course, if they were original screws they were JIS, not Philips. I bought a set of JIS screwdrivers and I rather like the JIS screws. (Unfortunately somebody had used Philips screwdrivers on my '67 Dream and every head is damaged.)
