cam chain replacement

Post by Dean » Tue Jan 25, 2005 7:33 am

The cam chain I have just bought is of the continuos type. To avoid dismantling the bottom end of the engine to fit the chain. Is it possible to cut the chain and fit the link from the old chain? This way I can fit it without removing the barrels and crankshaft.

As far as I know that is ok to do as long as the master link goes back on the right way.

georGe
