Upon reinstalling the rebuilt engine (pistons, rings, seals, all gaskets, kickstart shaft, bushing, pawl and springs, timing chain, tensioner, roller guide) and following Bill Silver's engine restoration manual, the engine dumped oil out the front of the head gasket--and even some through the copper washers on the head...within less than 10 seconds of operation!
It's not misting--it's flowing, and it's fresh oil. The bike is not burning oil either. I used 1.5 qts to fill it.
Has anyone ever experienced this? (In other words, what have I done?) I've not taken it apart yet, but am hoping to get a clue as to what to look for.
Thanks...

Yeah, ask me how I know! I put a vent hose on one time, without making sure it was clear. Something built a mud nest in there, and it ended up leaking from the cases. That won't happen again, at least until senility sets in!

Still...
Today I checked the gaskets beneath the head cover and found the ones w openings I had installed with the openings towards the back, so I switched them. Thanks, Ed.
I checked the head cover breather tube and found that to be clear. Thanks, Davomoto.
And Teazer, I know I installed the hollow dowels and green Honda o-rings at the head gasket.
I reinstalled the head cover to 15lbs--5 at the spark plugs-- and started the bike. Still, oil poured from the head gasket.
Any other ideas?
Additional issue that may or may not be related: The idle screws are set to 1 1/4 turns yet the motor RACES at idle and stalls whenever off 100% choke.
