When my bike is cold the starter makes this noise.

Now I am ready to fix it.
Question can the starter be removed with out taking of the side cover the kick start and all.
And anyone have an idea as to what I may find.
Thanks
Brad

Re: Starter making noise
Ya can remove just the starter.
However at times a noise may come from the crank sprocket behind the rotor.
The starter will need good grease on the gear side and some at the brush end.
Careful. .........lm

Re: Starter making noise
I just listened to your starter sound and I think it's the rollers behind the rotor slipping. .........lm
