Hi, I'm new to the forum, having just picked up a CB72 Cafe Racer in boxes, where it has rested for 38 years!!
I am starting the restoration, and have the best part of 2 engines to work with, but only one big end
This looks worn, and I cannot find a replacement anywhere
There are plenty of 305/CB77 cranks around, and I was wondering if they would fit OK?
Any help is much appreciated
Thanks!

CB or CL 72 Crank
The CB will have a hole in the crank to oil the starter sprocket. CL does not. If could switch out just that end from your CB72 crank onto the CL72 crank. There are alignment issues and taking on that task is not for the faint of heart.
Or you could leave the starter off and use the CL crank.
