resleeving cylinders

Post by bikedoctor99 » Wed Feb 12, 2014 8:35 pm

Hello everyone, could use some help on this one- tried the search function but couldn't find the info.
I need to resleeve a cl175 cylinder (twin) and need to know the reccomended "negative tolerance" for a proper job, did this 40+ years ago, but I don't remember the sizing.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

In order to achieve proper heat transfer for cast iron sleeve in alloy cylinder I use .003 to .004 interference.

All the best,
Tim
