Thanks, guys.
That is how I figured it out, I noticed that the sprockets werent aligned. A better parts manual drawing would have helped.
Just spent a whole day fixing a coil with a wire broken off, on the stator and replacing the insulation on the backside which was falling apart. Just confirmed AC voltage when turning the crank with a drill. Sure is fun working on this engine, and its great to have help for those tough questions! Thanks again.
