Are the threads on the Superhawk left side crankshaft size 20x1.5 ? I bought a crank and the threads are messed up. I can't get the nut to thread on.

I don't have one nearby to measure but you could check the pitch against a regular M10 bolt which is 1.5mm pitch. Honda use M10 fine normally do you need a regular M10 from a hardware store.
I'll measure one for you tomorrow if that helps.

You misunderstood me. I was just suggesting that he use an M10 bolt as a thread gauge to check that the pitch was 1.5mm.
He should be able to tidy up the thread with a needle file if it's not too bad.
The question was about what size the thread was on the crank.......

One of the could be handy for tidying up the crank end if it's not too bad.

It is a 1 pitch which is visible by eye to a 1.25 or 1.50.
We both recommended he file the shaft as to purchase a die for a one time use is expensive. ............lm ......................lm

Thanks guys. I ended up using a die grinder to get to some decent threads.
I have the left side together (a peek at LM's nice clutch). Does the stack on the crank look correct, before I tighten the nut with a spanner?
I've also attached a pic of my rebored and copper lined sleeves cylinder.
