Loosening generator rotor bolt?
I've got starter troubles. I guess the starter clutch rollers have gave out. So, I need to pull the generator. I've tried leaving the chain on, putting it in gear, and trying to loosen the bolt. Is it standard thread, (not backwards, bastard thread?). Would an impact air wrench be better? So far, hasn't come loose.

Re: Loosening generator rotor bolt?
It has a stander thread.
Ya may be able the put a 14mm box wrench on the bolt and SMACK it with a mallet to get the bolt loose. ............lm

Thanks LM, I've been gone awhile, rebuilt a CB750K0 for the last year and a half. Now back to a few things on the Superhawk. I've got a list, Speedo went crazy, have to fix that. new swing arm bushings, have a newer primary chain to go on, going with flat bars, and have to get some good shocks. I'm sure I'll have many more questions. Thanks<john>
