Post by kennedy759 » Sun Jan 05, 2020 4:50 pm

on my 67 ca78 there is a vent nipple on the rear of each cylinder, they also hold a clip for the spark plug wires, what do these vents do and where does the vent tube go to?

They vent the intake valve guides to keep vacuum from sucking oil into the engine while coasting in gear. They were attached to a teed line that plugged into the front of one air cleaner. Honda did away with them on the later engines.

Your air cleaner has 2 HOLES.
The top vent goes in one and the other tube goes in one. ..............lm
