Fork Oil.........again

All,

1966 CL77 type II forks. How much oil should I be using to fill them? They are currently dry.

Bill Silver says 200cc
My Clymer Says 280cc

After a quick search on the forum there are varying opinions as to how much. Anybody have a definitive answer?

This is one of the last few things I have to do before getting on the road. Thanks for the help as always.

Ron, I have the official Honda service specification guide. For the CB77 it shows 215-225cc for steel legs, 200cc for aluminum. For the CL72-77 it does not specify, nor differentiate betwwen the two . It only says 270-280cc to fill dry.
