Source for spark plug wires and plug connectors?

Post by rone » Wed Feb 24, 2010 8:08 pm

Hi: I'm new to this great website and I'm enjoying reading many of the old postings. I have a 1965 CB77 that I'm bringing back to life after sitting for nearly 30 years. At this point I need spark plug wires and spark plug connectors. I'm having a hard time locating the black, 7mm, copper-core wire in bulk, and the correct spark plug connectors (on my friend's bone-stock CB77 the connectors are steel). If anyone can point me to a source for these things in the Los Angeles/Glendale/Pasadena area, I would greatly appreciate it. Many thanks, Ron

I found the wires (black, 7mm, copper core) on eBay, but I'm still looking for a source for the correct plug caps. Thanks, Ron

Rone, my local Napa sells the wire in bulk, aroung $1 a foot. The caps are hard to find if you want origionals, but NGK replacements are plentiful.

Wire/caps

Post by rone » Thu Feb 25, 2010 4:36 pm

Davo: My local Napa used to carry the wire in bulk, but no more. But I found some black, 7mm, solid core on eBay and hopefully it's in the mail. How do I find the NGK caps you mentioned? They actually list caps for a 1965 CB77, or do they have a universal 7mm cap that works on that bike? Thanks again, Ron
