Got it in 7 days from overseas! Faster than some stuff I've bought close to home.
Confirms I'm idling rich and the air screw won't correct it enough.
Now the fun begins!

Brewsky,

CB's tend to on the lean side, especially where the main jet comes in.
Saying it's to rich is around idling I guess ?

Jensen, it's a CA 77 and it has always been rich on idle.
I've cleaned the carb throughly a couple of times, replaced the slide (PO had filed the bottom of the original), replaced the needle jet with new OEM, cleaned and re-used original jets and tried both original and Keyster air screws (no change)
When I screw in the air screw all the way, the motor will die, so at least I know the circuit is working.
The more I unscrew the air screw, the faster it idles, and the screw falls out before I see any blue on the colortune.
When I blip the throttle, the motor takes it's time returning to idle speed.
The dyno readout last time shows rich at low rpm, lean at midrange, and rich at upper rpm.
I retained the stock size jets.
