Throttle tube / slide lubrication

I've just got my handlebars, switches etc. re-assembled and although the throttle seems to work pretty smoothly I am wondering what sort of lubrication I should use on the Throttle tube/ slide/ handlebar tube interface(s)?

Cecil when I got my bike they had put grease in mine and that didn't work very well at all so when I cleaned it all out I applied some light oil in there and also inside the throttle cable and It actually snaps back very nicely. Ride safe, Paul

Thanks Paul. Mine was packed with grease too. I was thinking of going with a light grease where the hinge runs in the handlebar groove, as well as where the hinge contacts the inside of the throttle tube. Then use a teflon based oil on all the cables.

When I finish this Cub I'll be trying "Fluid Film" I started using it around the shop the last few months and It's about the best I've ever used. I wouldn't put grease in there. That stuff seems to solidify a bit after some time. Paul
