any feedback on these coils?
The coil type depicted in the TS100 wiring diagram is a specific type designed for that particular AC application (directly fed from the generator and independent of the battery) and has only two connections -- LT and HT. Note that the immobilisation of the engine is achieved by grounding the coil's AC LT supply. Older(?) lawn mowers used a similar stopping system via a spring metal tag that was used to momentarily short the HT actually at the sparkplug's top connection.
I am familiar with the "short the plug" kill switches of the past.
Had a homemade go cart with one and when I would double someone, they had to straddle the frame over the motor and squat down to hold on to the back of the seat frame. When I hit a bump, there would sometimes be a loud shrieking noise from the passenger! I looked up a wiring diagram for the coils linked to on ebay, and they apperar to be AC coils for a 350 Bridgestone. The seller states he used Honda 305 coils on his Bridgestone, so the reverse should work? I can't seem to copy a single page from a PDF file without getting the whole thing, so here's a link to the diagram source: http://www.classiccycles.org/1801.html 66 dream, 78 cb750k, 02fz1, 09 wing
