CA77 305 frame changes ?

My apologies if I appeared to question your advice. I am an utter greenhorn at this and I truly appreciate the wisdom and experience of those such as you who are helping me muddle my way through. I do appreciate your kind and timely advice. What I thought I had didn't appear to be the case once I was able to take receipt of the bike. Again my apologies of I appeared unappreciative. It was never my intent to do so. Cheers!

It's all good. No need to apologize. It's all speculation on what's what until we know the frame numbers.

C; yes It's all good, you are on the right track. however, I will say that I have done the repair that you are talking about and it is a real bitch to get it to look right. you will drill out the existing spot welds, jig up the parts, and then plug weld the holes to (hopefully)look like the old spot welds. It's a trick, don't take it lightly.
