Yes, Gerry fitted it and I was really grateful for the help he gave me on two CB77's and a Thruxton Velo that I have and was struggling to sort out. I was working abroad at the time and I didn't fancy taking all of this on even if I'd had more time. The bike in question didn't have a worn bush but I have another that has a floppy kick start and thought that just changing the bush would be an easy fix. Sorry, I take your point on having to do almost the same amount of work anyway.

That would work and you can sometimes get 'cored' phosphor-bronze which is cast as a tube, reducing th emachining time / cost.
