Yeah that is just a bike that I saw and LOVED so I used it as inspiration to build my own. Mine is posted in my earlier posts on this thread. Thanks Davo, you helped me a lot and I appreciate everything and everyone on here. This forum is a god send. I had so many questions answered through here and it really did make putting it back together much easier. If I can help anyone, with my very little of expertise, I will try. I can't wait to ride that beauty!

I was reffering to your bike Kelly! You're welcome, and just keep paying it forward as you have been! There is a vintage ride that leaves at 9:00 am every Saturday from San Marin High School. A bit south for you guys, but we may have to have a fleet of 305s show up one day when the weather gets nice again!

What parts did you use as support for the solo seat? I have a nice seat that I just had recovered but the prior owner didn't have anything in the way of bracketry that would keep the seat elevated above the painted frame. Is there a source for what you're using or did you fabricate it yourself?

Your bike looks absolutely beautiful! I look at photos of it and am continually inspired. I especially love the solo seat & supports that you 2 had made, and would love to set up our little 65 in similiar way. Is that a custom seat that you had made somewhere? I've looked at several solo seats that others have posted links to but yours seems alot more comfortable, thicker padding - and to have the HONDA lettering on the back is a huge plus.
I'm planning to get brackets made like yours (photos are extremely helpful).

Any info you can post would be helpful.

Hi Bob. Thank you for the compliments on my bike. I LOVE my bike. It's become an ALMOST daily rider here in CA. However, I sort of had an issue with it about two months ago, when I was pushing it to its limits on a back road. Since my speedo isn't very accurate, I assume I was going about 60, on a mild incline, when it lost power.

Since my hubby is swamped at work, and he knew it was going to be something more than he was willing to take on at the moment, we decided to take it to Davomoto. I believe they said something about seizing a piston. (oops). So, now it is at Davo's shop being fixed.

As for the seat, I picked up the last one on APEX CYCLE a few years back when I was looking for seats. Unfortunately the only one they had left had the HONDA logo off center. But since I couldn't find another one anywhere else I just decided to buy it. I will have it recovered eventually. It is VERY comfortable. There are similar seats available in all black but they are not exactly the same. Here's the link for it.

The bracket my husband made is his own creation. He has a garage full of tools that he was able to use for the fabrication (that always helps).
