Thanks both, I have spoken to someone in Derby who could possibly help and have been told of another in Birmingham who can.
The problem is in the top frame tube, it has a big dent in it, the steering head looks twisted. I have been advised to keep away from the MotoLiner.

Is it a matching numbers bike? If not it might be worth looking for another frame. D&K seem to have plenty....

They are 5 numbers apart, I did look at D&K, different year frames at the time.

I still have to deal with DVLA and C&E too these days, if they have supporting paperwork it may be a good plan. There are some issues now, the rear brake light switch bracket is missing, one of the swing arm bushes has moved out of the frame while trying to remove the bolt.
