Todays Ride.......Hey Vince, you lit a fire under my a_ _, and I had to get out for a ride. I usually get so carried away working on these things, that I forget to get out and ride them once in a while! It was a balmy 55 degrees, and a nice clear day, with the marine layer hanging a few miles off shore. Almost no one on the road, and the cafe' ran awsome.
Boy, if I lived in Marin County with that kind of scenery, I'd be out every minute of the day! Thanks for sharing.....I have a brother in law who lives in Orange County, and he has a Kawi Concours that he rides every day....he likes to make passing comments to me about it 'only' being 72 degrees when it's about 40 out here in Baltimore -- oh how I hate him! The past couple of days here have been in the 60's, but rainy and, well, I unfortunately have had to work to pay for all these crazy bike projects.
That 1966 CA78 Dream is a real sweetie -- quite loud with those period cocktail shaker mufflers. It had been sitting in a garage for 20 years unused, and my mechanic rescued and revived it. The finish is all original (far too nice to restore), has 15,000 miles and the only things I've added are the mirrors, metal badges, new tires, oil, spark plugs and a UNI foam air filter. So, contrary to popular belief, I CAN actually own a bike without mucking with it too much! Thanks for the replies, and really hope to hear about more rides! Yeah Vince, my in-laws live in Orange County, and we here about the 80 degrees every day thing too! I'm sure that I've ridden over Mt Tamalpais a thousand times or more, and it still thrills me to get up there and check out the view! I also have a 2006 DL1000 V-Strom, and a 2000 XR650R Supermoto, and way too many others too list. I ride the dirt a lot, and will shoot some pics of our club are next time I get out. Of couse it won't be on a Superhawk!

davo, i'm having a difficult time deciding if i'm more envoius of your bike or the scenery through which you ride it. both beautiful !
Vince - i'm from punxxsutawney, the groundhog town ... don't believe the hype! the only thing more ridiculous than relying on a rodent for the weather forecast is standing all night in a field, in western PA & the middle of february, to catch a glimpse of said rodent. it used to be like a backwoods mardi gras, but since the movie the 'rules of the knob' have changed, diong away with the kegs and making it 'family friendly'.
hey joe - if you ever come over to this side of the state for a bike event and bring your bike shoot me a line. i'd love to come check it out, meet you, and talk ca77 geek stuff. i've spent most of the day today looking through / adding PA & OH bike events to my calendar (on 5-day vacation yay) ... lotsa events on your side of the state. when i get my bike finished i'm hoping to start toting it around to these events and meeting people with similiar vintage honda interest. Here in hog-town 'if it ain't harley it ain't shit' is the local attitude. My incomplete/unrestored harley M65 elicits more interest than my ca77, ca95, and s65 combined.
