Another systematic weakness is the charging system...output is marginal, and if you have bad electrical connections or an old rectifier you'll likely experience a dead battery as one of your first problems. Check the output of your charging system against specs and find out whether it's performing up to snuff or not. If not, find the reason and get it working correctly. You'll save yourself being stranded somewhere with a dead battery.
