Knobby 3.50 on the rear and 3.25 front here.
When I use the centerstand on my '66 CL, the rear wheel also keeps touching the ground but the bike seems stable. When parked in the garage I usually use a 2cm thick wooden board to get the wheel off the ground. When parked at a meeting/store/... I always use the side stand.
